Kathryn McDevitt clocked a new PB over 400m.
Kathryn McDevitt warmed up for the World Masters Championships with a triple gold medal haul at the weekend in Belfast.
McDevitt won three golds at the Northern Ireland Masters' Track and Field Championships.
The Letterkenny AC woman, who competes next week in the World Masters in Finland, won her specialised distances, 100m and 200m in good fashion.
McDevitt took the W40 100m gold in 13.31 seconds and added the 200m gold when clocking 27.05 seconds.
Over 400m, McDevitt starred again. In trying conditions, with a string wind to battle with, McDevitt won in 1:02.76 - a new personal best.
McDevitt added a triple jump silver medal, jumping a best of 7.61m.
In Tampere, Finland, McDevitt will compete in the 200m and triple jump while she also forms part of the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.
Inishowen AC’s Martin Mooney won five gold medals, topping the charges in each of the M35 discus, hammer, javelin, shot and 100m hurdles events.
Mooney took the discus honours when throwing 22.97m while a 19.29m throw took the hammer gold.
Mooney also topped the podium in the javelin, with a best effort there of 31.95m, and his 7.86m attempt secured gold in the shot.
Over the 100m hurdles, Mooney took gold when finishing in 23.78 seconds. Mooney was also the silver medalist in the M35 high jump, clearing 1.45m.
Inishowen AC’s Liam Bradley won the M50 1500m, clocking a new personal best time of 4:41.56.
Tir Chonaill AC’s Martin Cunningham was a double gold medalists. Cunningham won the M40 3000m in 9:18.38 and also took the honours over 1500m in 4:19.49.
Lifford-Srabane AC's Damian Crawford took the M50 discus, hammer, shot and weight throw honours when throwing out to 34.22m, 34.94m, 11.61m ad 12.27m respectively.
Olympian YAC Martin O’Donnell won the M45 100m in 12.46 seconds and added gold in the javelin, throwing to 25.98m. O’Donnell reached out to 8.00m to take gold in the shot. O’Donnell bagged a silver in the M45 discus, firing out to 21.32m.
Patrick O’Donnell, also of Olympian YAC, took gold in the M35 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 1:06.47.
Olympian YAC athlete Karen O’Donnell won the W40 javelin with a 20.32m best and took silvers over 100m, 200m and 400m.
Tir Chonaill AC’s Shane Toolan won the M60 100m gold with a 14.41 second PB and he added a silver in the 200m.
Finn Valley AC’s Brian Ó Domhnaill and Danny Sharkey won golds in the M40 and M60 3000m walk golds.
Bosco Reid threw to 11.09m to win the M60 shot and a 13.69m effort collected the weight throw gold. Finn Valley AC’s Reid landed silvers in the hammer and javelin as well as a bronze in the discus.
John J Cannon of Tir Chonaill was second in the M65 800m, while his team-mate Robert Anderson left with silver medals from the M50 shot, triple jump and weight throw events.
