In Pictures: Meet your local emergency services heroes with Bundoran RNLI

The team at Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat Station hosted an emergency services open day with important water safety information as well as plenty of fun for all the family

Bundoran RNLI hosted an open day with representatives from a range of Donegal’s emergency services. Photographer Philip Mulligan was on hand to capture the day in pictures.

Always a popular family fun day out, this event has a serious mission - to provide important life save information and to highlight the work of our emergency services.

Water safety was to the fore with talks from the hosts, as well as other life saving demonstrations. Also present were representatives from the Fire Service, An Garda Síochana, National Ambulance Service, Tyrone Underwater Search and Recovery, and the Defence Forces.

This was a great opportunity for people to meet our real life local heroes who are often the difference between life and death and times of crisis.

There was a prize draw and an opportunity to pick up iconic RNLI merchandise to support the work of this vital organisation.
