In pictures: Donegal successes at stylish Garda National Sports Stars Awards night

The Garda Golf Society Donegal won Team of the Year; Donegal and St Eunan's goalkeeper Shaun Patton was named as the GAA winner; Retired Garda Mick Murphy was awarded with the  Special Contribution to Sport, and Garda Robert McCallion RIP, the Posthumous Award

An Garda Síochána held their National Sports Stars Awards on Friday on a stylish night at The Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny, where Donegal manager Jim McGuinness was the special guest. Please click on the arrows to go through the gallery

Locally there were awards for the Garda Golf Society Donegal, who won Team of the Year; Donegal and St Eunan's goalkeeper Shaun Patton from Carndonagh Garda Station was named as the GAA winner; Retired Garda Mick Murphy was awarded with the  Special Contribution to Sport, and Garda Robert McCallion RIP, of Letterkenny Garda Station, the Posthumous Award.

Other winners on the night were cyclist Katie George Dunlevy's tandem partner Garda Eve McCrystal of Dundalk Garda Station, Co Louth, who was the Cycling winner; Garda James Woodlock, Garda College, Templemore, Co Tipperary, named Manager of the Year; Garda Aisling O'Connell, Killarney Garda Station, Co Kerry, the Ladies Gaelic Football Association award winner;  Garda Kenny McDonald, Garda College, Templemore, Co. Tipperary- Rowing and Retired Sergeant Connie Lynch, Co Kerry, was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
