Monsignor Pat Lynch, an internationally known preacher on the Catholic faith, celebrated the jubilee ofhis ordination to the priesthood at the Star of the Sea Church in Desertegney.

A native of the townland of Aughaweel, Monsignor Lynch was ordained on 15 June 1975 and spent much of the next 25 years in England.

He celebrated his jubilee in the company of his fellow priests, his family including his brother John, his many nieces and nephews and their children, and the wider community.
