Lough Swilly Yacht Club celebrated 70 years since its founding on July 12 with a morning sail and a barbecue for members and non-members.

To celebrate its remarkable journey the club invited all members - past and present - along with founding families and friends, to take part in the special Anniversary Celebration Day on July 12.
The morning sail in beautiful weather on Lough Swilly welcomed all types of boats to take part - whether racing or cruising. The sail was followed by a barbecue at the clubhouse.
Commodore of the club, Dermot Downey, said the special occasion was “a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate the spirit of the Swilly together”.
