Donegal senators Manus Boyle and Nikki Bradley of Fine Gael have expressed their delight at having both been appointed to seats in Committees of the 34th Dáil.

Bruckless native Senator Boyle was appointed to the Committee on Fisheries & Maritime affairs and the Committee for Health, while Senator Bradley was appointed to the Committee for Disability Matters and the Committee for Children and Equality.

Senator Boyle posted: “I’m delighted to share some good news today with the announcement of the nominated committee members for the 34th Dáil. I’ve been appointed to the Committees on Fisheries & Maritime affairs, as well as Health.

“I’m honoured by the opportunity and look forward to tackling the important challenges ahead in both areas.”

Senator Bradley, who is based in Milford, also posted: “Happy to share that I will be holding a seat on both the Committee for Disability Matters and on the Committee for Children and Equality.”

Micheál Martin, Taoiseach, in February, announced his 11 nominees to Seanad Eireann following the election of 49 seats to the Irish Parliament’s upper house.
