The late and much loved Ronan Roddy
Derry City and Finn Harps fans united on Sunday to honour the late Harps fanatic Ronan Roddy.
In the 44th minute of the pre-season friedly between the old rivals, supporters gave a minute's applause.
Ronan passed away on Wednesday following an illness.
The 44-year-old, late of Trenamullin, Stranorlar, was a popular tunnel steward at Finn Park on match nights and was also widely known and regarded from working at Mac's Mace in Letterkenny.
On Saturday, Ronan was laid to rest after funeral Mass at the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar.
Harps fans, led by Tommy Dullaghan, Ronan's regular partner at the Finn Park tunnel, flanked the hearse carrying his remains were taken to the Church.
In a statement, Harps said: “we are all heartbroken at the news that we have lost our man Ronan. Our steward, supporter and our great friend.
“Ronan, it's impossible to imagine match nights without you.
“Thank you for all your help, your kindness, your sense of humour and for being such a loyal and valued member of the Finn Harps family.”
