Emma Doherty and Keri Loughrey, inset, were both on the mark for Sligo Rovers on Saturday
Buncrana’s finest were on the double on Saturday as Emma Doherty and Keri Loughrey scored a goal apiece in Sligo Rovers’ 2-1 pre-season victory over Galway United in Athenry.
Doherty opened the scoring for Sligo on 24 minutes, only for Galway to level matters through a goal from Rola Olusola on 49 minutes. However, Loughrey, who only signed for the Bit O' Red with her sister Jodie last month, struck the winner on 68 minutes.
Sligo open their Women's National League against Shamrock Rovers at The Showgrounds on March 4.
