In a visit to Knock Shrine, former Liverpool and Ireland player, John Aldridge, took a moment to connect with his spiritual side in saying a "few prayers" for "the quadruple" and for "Jurgen to change his mind".
In a post on social media, the football legend shared a photo of himself outside the holy landmark with the caption: "In the shrine in Knock folks what a spiritual place. Said a few prayers including the quadruple and Jurgen to change his mind."
As the season has progressed beyond its midpoint, Liverpool stands in a strong position across four major competitions, potentially capable of achieving a quadruple - but not without a prayer!
Fans online took to the comments to share whether they think John will have his prayers answered.
One sports fan replied: "Will settle for the first, don’t think the second has a chance."

Another comically asked: "Is there any statues to Jurgen in the stalls at the car park beside the pictures of the sacred heart and child of prayer?"
