Letterkenny's Shane Blaney played  as Motherwell delivered an impressive performance, securing their first victory against Rangers at Ibrox in nine years with a 2-1 victory.

The 24-year-old joined The Steelmen in January 2023 from Sligo Rovers. Blaney caught the eye with a superb free kick against Motherwell in 2022 in the Europa Conference League in 2022

Theo Bair opened the scoring early on with his 11th goal of the season, but James Tavernier equalised with a penalty in the 60th minute.

Nevertheless, Dan Casey's header secured the win for the eighth-placed team, shifting the momentum of the title race towards Celtic.

Philippe Clement's team maintains a two-point lead at the top of the table. However, reigning champions Celtic have the opportunity to reclaim the top spot they held for a significant portion of the season when they face Heart of Midlothian on Sunday.
