Séamas Keogh, formerly of Finn Harps, embarks on a new chapter with Lansdowne Yonkers FC in New York, transitioning from Ballybofey to the bustling American soccer scene earlier this year.

In his fresh role across the Atlantic, Keogh assumes dual responsibilities, both as a first-team player and as a mentor to the club's youth prospects.

The 22-year-old's journey in football traces back to his roots at Benbulben FC before making waves with Sligo Rovers, subsequently venturing to England's Premier League with Southampton in 2018. A return to Sligo preceded his stint with Finn Harps, under the management of Dave Rogers.

Lansdowne Yonkers FC, established in 1997, serves as a hub for the Irish diaspora in New York, particularly in the Bronx and Yonkers regions. Renowned for its prowess, the club clinched the national amateur championship in 2017 and 2021, solidifying its status as a force in American soccer.

Among Keogh's new teammates is Paul McVeigh, hailing from Donegal and boasting past affiliations with Finn Harps and Fanad United.

Keogh made an impactful debut for Lansdowne, contributing to their emphatic 6-0 victory against Suffolk County FC in the opening fixture of the Metropolitan Conference.
