Castlefin Celtic are planning to add a new spectator stand to their Parkview home.

The club has sough planning permission for the works to their facility, located at Mullanboy, Castlefin.

Mark Hegarty, the chairperson, has lodged a planning permission application to Donegal County Council for the works.

The application covers the construction of a spectator stand and associated site development works.

The local authority say that a decision will be made on the application by July 21.

Castlefin Celtic bought the facility in 1992 and had two playing pitches operating by 1995 while the clubhouse was added in 2002.

An astro turf was completed in 2016.

Castlefin Celtic were in the Premier Division of the Donegal League, but following relegation they will operate in Division One for the 2024/25 season.
