Shania McMonagle has moved to Derry City
Shania McMonagle has departed Sligo Rovers to sign for Derry City.
The Raphoe native was on the bench for the Candystripes in Friday's 1-1 away draw at Lisburn at Bluebell Stadium in the NIFL Premiership.
McMonagle was on the books of Sligo Rovers having spent a year-and-a-half at the Showgrounds.
McMonagle initially moved to Sligo in early 2023 after being in the Donegal Women's League squads that played in the underage League of Ireland.
The midfielder played for the Derry City senior women's side that won the Foyle Cup recently and has now made permanent her switch to the Brandywell.
Malin's Tara O'Connor scored a late equaliser for Derry on Friday after Leah Wilgaus opened the scoring for Lisburn, while Cate Toland, Caoimhe Walsh and Ellie Long were among the Donegal players to feature.
