Darren Murphy looks set to have his mercy request answered with Oisin Cooney set to be released from U-19 International duty for this evening's crucial League of Ireland First Division clash away to Bray Wanderers. 

The Clonmany stopper was in Croatia for a warm-up tournament with the Republic of Ireland as final preparation for the U-19s’ EURO Qualifications next month where Ireland will face Moldova, Azerbaijan and Iceland.

And on Wednesday, the talented teenage goalkeeper was between the posts for Ireland as they drew 2-2 with Greece in their opening game of the tournament.

Ireland face hosts Croatia next on Saturday but DonegalLive understands that Cooney is indeed back home and set to join up with Murphy's squad when they arrive at the Carlisle Grounds later this evening. 

With three games left to play in the battle for promotion, Harps currently sit sixth in the First Division with Bray in fourth.
