Tim Hiemer in action for Finn Harps
Goalkeeper Tim Hiemer and midfielder Bruce Strachan have left Finn Harps, while the club has confirmed the retention of winger Gavin Gilmore.
Hiemer, a 29-year-old German, played 45 times over two seasons at Finn Park.
Hiemer, who came through the ranks at Borussia Monchengladbach, was initially recruited by then manager Dave Rogers on a two-year deal in January, 2023.
Hiemer played his last game in a 2-0 defeat by Wexford in August with teenage ‘keeper Oisin Cooney manning the goal for the rest of the season.
Strachan was a mid-season signing, who appeared six times as a substitute. The 18-year-old Scot signed from Ayr United having previously been at the Rangers academy, but will not return to Finn Park.

Gilmore had a trial with Harps in early summer and played seven games, six of them in the League, all of them off the bench.
Gilmore, who came through the Galway Academy and played for Athlone, featured against Cliftonville in a friendly in July before penning a deal at Harps.
