Ciara Grant in action for Hibs
Ciara Grant scored one of the goals as Hibernian opened 2025 with an emphatic win.
Hibs defeated Edinburgh rivals Spartans 6-0 at Meadowbank Stadium.
Eilidh Adams scored twice with Grant, Michaela McAlonie, Kirsten Reilly and Kirsty Morrison also on the mark.
Letterkenny woman Grant, who signed for Hibs from their other city foes, Hearts, last summer, bagged the third goal.
Grant, a former Sion Swifts, Shelbourne and Rangers player, Grant latched onto Lauren Doran-Barr’s cross and made no mistake with a superb low finish.
Hibs climb to third in the Scottish Women’s Premier League thanks to the rout.
"We ticked every box today,” manager Grant Scott said.
“It’s good for confidence within the team. We’ve had multiple scorers again. All of that is positive.

"The goal difference is going to take care of itself. I’m not a fan of people coming out and saying we should have scored more, for me it’s disrespectful to your opponent. I can’t complain.”
