Brian Dorrian presents St Catherine's with its Club Mark award
St Catherine’s FC’s U-14 and U-16 girls teams will feature in a brand new kids soccer show set to air on RTÉ on Saturday mornings called ‘Total Football’.
Brick Films, a production company based out of Dublin, in conjunction with the FAI, are producing the new series described as a Soccer AM-style mash-up of features like the ‘crossbar challenge’ and ‘top bins’ as well as surprise visits to clubs across the country.
One such visit took place in Emerald Park last Saturday afternoon as the Saints received their Club Mark award.
The FAI Club Mark is an accreditation award that’s based on best practices in the governance, management and administration of a football club.
Brian ‘Dinky’ Dorrian, FAI Ulster coordinator and also a St Catherine’s stalwart, was on hand to make the presentation.
Another of the ideas behind the show is to highlight the community aspect of football in Ireland, with tales of the impact that the beautiful game has on kids all across the various communities.
The show is set to start airing in March / spring 2025 and will run every Saturday for 10 weeks on RTE.
