Catherine Grier and her teammates at Arena 7 this week
Bonagee United gave Catherine Grier a very special send-off this week as she prepares to head off to the 2025 World Deaf Futsal Championship, which will be staged in Italy later this month.
Set to run between 14-28 June, Grier and her Republic of Ireland teammates have been paired alongside Turkey, Brazil and Spain in the group stage.

The Ramelton woman and her teammates gathered at Arena 7 this week and, posting on their own social media, the club had this to say: “The Bonagee United senior ladies gathered to give player Catherine Grier a big send off as she heads for World Cup duty!
“Catherine is a regular performer for Ireland over the years and next week will line out in the World Deaf Futsal Championships, which take place in Montesilvano in Italy.
“Best wishes to Catherine and all the Irish team - all at Bonagee United are very proud of you”.
