The Ireland Deaf Futsal ladies team
Catherine Grier and Teagan O'Reilly represented their country well as they bowed out at the semi-final stage of the World Deaf Futsal Championships.
The competition is taking place in Montesilvano in Italy, and it was a top achievement from the Republic of Ireland team, who reached their first ever semi-final at World level, narrowly losing out 4-2 to Brazil.
Bonagee United player Grier and O'Reilly of Drumbar United, both featured heavily for the side across the tournament.
Ireland had a difficult start in a tough group as they were defeated 6-0 in the opening game to Spain, before a cruel 2-1 loss to Brazil.

But they bounced back with a 5-1 win over Turkey to qualify out of the group in third place, before beating England 6-3 in the quarter-finals.
However, their hopes of winning the competition ended on Tuesday afternoon as Brazil qualified for the final.
