Joel Thompson was gifted a Donegal top by his Finn Harps teammates after their win over Treaty United
Joel Thompson has departed Finn Harps in favour of a move to NIFL Premiership side Ballymena United.
The Northern Irish Under-19 international made 18 appearances for the club, starting 17 times for the First Division side.
And he left the club on a high with back-to-back 1-0 wins against Dundalk on Monday night and Treaty United on Friday night.
The 19-year-old joins Ballymena, who finished eighth in the Northern Irish top tier last season.
The Harps took to social media to say farewell to the defender, saying: "The Harps First team presented Joel Thompson with a Donegal jersey as he departs the club after last night's victory.

"Joel has loved his time in Donegal and is looking forward to cheering them on later today.
"Everyone at the club thanks Joel for his effort and commitment during his time at Finn Park and wish him all the best going forward."
