Convoy Arsenal FC will officially open the new stand at Orchard Park on Saturday evening.
The seated stand will be named in honour of Convoy Arsenal President Alfie Bates, a long-time stalwart of the club.
The formalities will be preceded by a match between a Convoy Select and the current Convoy Arsenal senior team.
After the game, the ribbon will be cut and the Alfie Bates Stand formally opened.
“We feel this is a fitting tribute to a man that has done so much for our club,”Convoy Arsenal said.
“Not only has he been the driving force behind our ground developments over the last 25 years and while doing this he has held every position in the club from under 6s coach right up to chairman of our club and he now holds the title of president of our club.”
