Liverpool and Ireland legend Mark Lawrenson will be in Letterkenny this Sunday.

A top-class versatile defender during the 1970s and 1980s, Lawrenson will be in the Brewery Bar in Letterkenny from 1pm to 5pm and will be watching the Community Shield between Liverpool, the Premier League champions, and FA Cup winners Crystal Palace. Tickets can be bought on EventBrite, Mark Lawrenson - Meet & Greet at Brewery Bar - Letterkenny

"Come hang out with Mark Lawrenson at the Brewery Bar and Restaurant," event organisers say. "This is your chance to meet the man himself, watch the Community Shield final with him, and even have a chat and snag a selfie. It's going to be a casual and fun event, with free finger food and even a complimentary drink, so bring your friends and enjoy a great time at the Brewery Bar. Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity to meet Mark Lawrenson in person!"

After a short career as a manager with Oxford United and Preston North End, Lawrenson then became a radio, television and internet pundit for the BBC, TV3, BT Sport and Today FM, retiring at the end of the 2021–22 football season. Born and raised in England, Lawrenson qualified to play for Ireland through his grandfather, Thomas Crotty, who was born in Waterford.
