The Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team were promoted to League A of the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday night after a two-legged win over Belgium.
Carla Ward’s side advanced 5-4 on aggregate following a 2-1 loss in Den Dreef, with a late Abbie Larkin goal helping the Girls in Green advance.
Ireland defeated Belgium 4-2 in the Aviva Stadium on Friday night with two goals from Katie McCabe, an own goal, and one from Marissa Sheva.
St Johnston native Tyler Toland was introduced on 60 minutes in that win, while Milford’s Amber Barrett was an unused substitute.

Anna Patten, who has Irish roots through both her maternal grandparents: Donald Coyle, a native of Falcarragh, and Bridie Coyle, nee Conroy, who hailed from Lettermore in Galway, came on in the second leg in Belgium.
