Shane Guthrie has been named as Strength and Conditioning Coach for Cobh Ramblers for the 2026 season.

A Castlefinn native, who moved to Tralee when he was younger, Guthrie played for the St Colman’s Park side in his playing days and is now part of Fran Rockett’s backroom team.

Guthrie also played with Shamrock Rovers, Galway United, St Patrick’s Athletic, Dundalk and Limerick over a decade ago and most recently played in the First Division with Kerry in 2023.

Cobh Ramblers finished finished second in the First Division in 2025, but lost out to Treaty United in the play-offs.
