Amber Barrett got her second goal in Strasbourg colours, but her side were defeated 4-2 by Marseille in the Première Ligue.

Strasbourg suffered an early setback as they were reduced to 10 players and two goals down after 20 minutes, Anaelle Tchakounte receiving a straight red in between an early brace from Mathilde Bourdieu.

Celia Bensalem got one back for the home side, but Bourdieu completed her hat-trick before half-time.

And while Barrett came on at the break, they were soon three behind as Bourdieu got a fourth from the penalty spot.

The Milford woman made it 4-2 before the hour mark, but that would be the last goal of the game.

Strasbourg sit sixth in the league on 22 points after 15 games, comfortably in the middle of the pack, but they are only seven points behind second-place Nantes.
