The Cappry Rovers Under-14 Boys produced another massive performance in Cork to secure their place in the All-Ireland quarter-final.

Playing against a gale-force wind, Cappry found themselves a goal down after just ten minutes when a long-range effort took a deflection and found the corner of the net.

Despite the early setback, the lads responded brilliantly. Once they settled into the game, they began to dominate possession and created some excellent chances, only to be denied by two outstanding saves from the Charleville goalkeeper.

Cappry trailed 1-0 at half-time but were well in the contest.

Cappry started the second half strongly and again found the Charleville keeper in superb form. The pressure finally told when Daithí McHugh struck to level the game.

It was all Cappry for the next 15 minutes, but against the run of play, Charleville regained the lead to make it 2-1 with 15 minutes remaining.

Showing tremendous character and belief, Cappry pushed forward once more and got their reward when Darragh O’Sullivan fired home a brilliant goal to level the game with 10 minutes to go.
