Saints at Drumoghill in game of the day

Busy weekend up ahead in Donegal League

Saints at Drumoghill in game of the day

Two of the top three sides in the Donegal League Premier Division meet on Sunday in what could well be another defining weekend.

Reigning champions St. Catherine's have suffered only one defeat in the league this season and sit third in the table, just three points off the top.

This Sunday, they travel to play Drumoghill FC, the side that beat them at Emerald Park back in November.

It's another important game for both clubs in their quest for league honours.

Drumoghill actually sit level on points with Milford United at the top of the table, although the men from the Moss have one game less played.

Milford are away to Rathmullan Celtic this Sunday.

The games are among four fixtures in the top division as club actio n resumes after last weekend's Oscar Traynor Cup match.

In the other games, Cappry Rovers host Kilmacrennan Celtic and Castlefin Celtic are at home to Gweedore Celtic.

Elsewhere on Sunday, there are four games in the Temple Domestic Appliances Division One. Donegal town, joint leaders along with Lagan Harps, are at home to Raphoe and Lagan are at Gweedore Utd.

In the CT Ball Division, there's a busy programme with five fixtures. The game between Dunkineely and Erne Wanderers has been brought forward to 1pm.

There's cup action too with one game in the Ulster Junior Cup where Kildrum are at home to Glenea United. In the Ulster Junior Shield, Glencar Celtic host Killylough FC and Glenea Utd. Reserves are at Cootehill.

Saturday League

The leaders Arranmore United can take another step towards Saturday League success when they meet Mulroy Celtic. In the other game, Fintown Harps are at home to Drumkeen Utd.

There are games too in the Glencar Inn Division. Castlefin Celtic can go top with a win at home to Cappry Rvs.
