Donegal bowed out of the Ulster U-21 Championship in timid fashion as they went down to Tyrone in Healy Park, Omagh.
A Tyrone side that annihilated Fermanagh in the preliminary round, were much too strong for Donegal.
The writing was on the wall early in the first half for Maxi Curran’s men as Tyrone raced into a 0-5 to 0-0 lead and at half-time, they led by 0-7 to 0-2, the Donegal points coming from Patrick McBrearty and Dermot Molloy.
Donegal got back within four points of the second half, thanks to some fine points from Shaun McGarvey, one ‘45’ and another from McBrearty, but Tyrone pulled away again at the end to win easily enough
