The start to the second half was delayed by 20 minutes to due wan ‘incident’.
Pompey hit the front when Curtis round the goalkeeper and slotted home after getting on the end of Jacobs’ pass.
Cameron Brannagan levelled in the closing stages of normal time, however, before substitute Nathan Holland struck at the death.
Portsmouth are 13th in League One.
