Patrick Ferry netted for Ballinamallard on Saturday
Patrick Ferry opened his Ballinamallard account in a 2-1 win over Ards on Saturday.
The Gweedore man is on loan to Ballinamallard from Derry City.
The 19-year-old broke the deadlock in Saturday’s win at Ferney Park.
Sean McEvoy added a second while Ards pulled a goal back with the last kick of the game.
The promotion chasers also included Carndonagh’s Evan Tweed in their line-up.
BJ Banda and Ronan McKinley are also on the books of Harry McConkey’s squad.
Ferry has joined the Mallards on a six-month loan having played on the Derry City side that won the Enda McGuill Under-19 Cup in 2021.
Ferry, a product of Gweedore United, signed a two-year professional contract in February 2021 after impressing in the underage and Ulster Senior League ranks.
He made his senior debut in 2020 in a 2-0 win against Sligo Rovers.
