Finn Harps opening SSE Airtricity League Premier Division fixture against Drogheda United has been postponed.
The pitch was inspected this morning by referee Damien MacGraith and with snowfall in the north-west last night, was deemed unplayable. MacGraith was to be assisted by Darren Carey and Darren Corcoran for the 8pm kick-off, with the fourth official being John McLoughlin.
No date for the re-fixture has been set but it now means Ollie Horgan's side will open their campaign with back-to-back away fixtures, firstly against UCD this night week and then at Dundalk on Monday, February 28.
Horgan, who was sent off in the penultimate match of last season at St Patrick's Athletic, is suspended for the first game.
