Hat-tricks by Daire Callaghan and Owen Elding crushed the hopes of Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair in Tuesday’s FAI Schools Junior ‘B’ Boys National Cup semi-final.

Coola PPS from Riverstown in County Sligo advanced to the final after a clinical display in front of goal by Callaghan and Elding at Letterkenny Community Centre.
A superb strike by Callaghan in the sixth minute opened the scoring.
On the half-hour, Callaghan touched past Cian Ó Gallchoir in the Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair net to double the lead.
Two became three when Oisin Conlon headed home from a James Foley corner and the Sligo side swiftly added a fourth when Darragh McKeon found the top corner.
On the stroke of half-time, Caolan Laux pulled one back for Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair.
However, Elding was picked out by Foley to make it 5-1 in the 47th minute.
Cronan Mac Phaidin netted from a penalty, but Callaghan completed his hat-trick as he seized possession following a mix-up.
Martin Coyle curled home a free kick, but Coola moved out of sigh with Elding’s late brace completing his hat-trick.
