Amber Barrett has confirmed that she is to leave FC Köln.
Barrett signed for the German club in 2019, but the 26-year-old will move on to pastures new this summer.
“After three fantastic years in the most beautiful city in Germany, I have decided to leave Köln,” Barrett said.
“I have been blessed to have experienced a club that took me in as their wee Irish German from day one and made me fall in love with the city and the club.”
Barrett, who has been capped 30 times by the Republic of Ireland and featured in Monday’s 9-0 win over Georgia, will have no shortage of suitors.
She added: “To the management, staff and players that have been a joy to play and work with. I am grateful for every day I spent at this wonderful club and it truly was difficult to leave.
“I have made memories to last a life time and friends that will be there for the remainder of my life. Thank you for caring and realising that every team needs an Irish teammate.”
Barrett is understood to have offers from the Women’s Super League in England and other clubs in the Bundesliga.
The Milford woman made the move to Köln three years after become a goalscorer of note at Peamount United.
