Mark Russell in action for Finn Harps at Drogheda United last season
Mark Russell, who left Finn Harps last season, has signed for SSE Airtricity League First Division side Galway United.
The 26-year-old Scot played 52 times for Harps between 2019 and 2021, when he left to rejoin Greenock Morton. The full-back previously played for Falkirk.
John Caulfield's Galway are currently second in the First Division, four points adrift of leaders Cork City.
“I’m delighted to be on board as soon as John got in contact with me I was wanting to get over and after couple of days I knew this is where I wanted to play my football, the facilities are class and it’s a massive club which is a bonus for me can’t wait to get playing,” Russell to the Galway United official website.
