Tyler Toland started for Levante in Sunday’s 0-0 preseason draw with derby rivals Valencia.

The St Johnston woman, who penned a two-year deal with the Spanish club this summer, played the first half of the stalemate at the Estadio Antonio Puchades.

Levante are on the countdown to their September 11 Primera División opener at home to Alavés.

Toland played with Celtic in the 2021/22 season, but departed the Hoops after winning the domestic Cup double in Scotland last season with Celtic.

Levante were sixth in the Primera Division last season and are now managed by former Birmingham City player Mehdi Nafti.

Among their ranks is the Spanish midfielder Alharilla.

Toland is a Republic of Ireland international and indeed has the honour of being Ireland’s youngest ever senior women’s international, appearing aged 16 years and 43 days. She has been exiled since a disagreement with Ireland boss Vera Pauw.
