Buncrana Hearts get home tie in Junior Cup as Castlefin face Limerick trip

Kieran McDaid and Sean Mullan scored for Buncrana Hearts on Sunday

Buncrana Hearts' reward for a superb FAI Junior Cup win at Malahide United is a home draw in the fifth round, while Castlefin Celtic have been handed an away tie.

Buncrana Hearts overcame Malahide United 2-0 after extra time last weekend.

Kieran McDaid and Sean Mullan, from the penalty spot, registered the goals to give the Hearts a passage into round five.

Dublin-based Montpellier FC or Valley Park United – who have yet to play their fourth round tie – will visit Castle Park.

Castlefin Celtic came from behind to defeat Killarney Athletic on Sunday.

Dean Kelly and Jordan Duffy netted in a 2-1 win and Raymond Foy's side will now travel to face Ballynanty Rovers in Limerick.

The fifth round games are pencilled in for the weekend of January 22, 2023.
