It is hoped that many will be in attendance at a Dark Sky information night which is being held in Glencolmcille this evening.

Mayo Dark Sky Officer and member of Dark Sky Ireland, Georgia MacMillan, will be present to answer questions and to guide the discussion.

In 2022, dark skies accreditation was being sought in order to attract star gazers to the picturesque area. It was hoped that Glencolmcille could become a dark skies park.

Tonight will be of special interest for those who have an interest in tourism, conservation and sustainability.

The meeting will be held in the Glen Folk Village at 7.30 this evening, Tuesday, February 20 and all are welcome.
