Just like his dad Johnny in his day, Danny McLoone is a keen footballer with Naomh Conaill. Danny was just five when he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2020. The family has this week announced that his treatment at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin has ended and they look forward to their next chapter

Danny McLoone’s three-year battle undergoing leukemia treatment at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin is finally over and the family are now looking forward to “the next chapter in our lives.”

The son of former Donegal forward Johnny McLoone - a three-time Donegal SFC winners with his club Naomh Conaill of Glenties in 2005, 2010 and 2015, who also lined out for Donegal - and his wife Geraldine was initially diagnosed in June 2020.
