Bronze for Darragh and Creevy

Eight swimmers represented Creevy NS at the All Ireland Minor Schools Swimming Championship in the NAC in Dublin recently.

Competition was exceptionally high with the best young swimmers in the country making it into the national finals.

Darragh Summerville swam brilliantly and won a fantastic bronze medal in the 50m freestyle.

Katie McMullin, Conor Foy and Caoimhe McCauley all swam really well in their individual events and had great PB’s with Conor finishing in 12th place in the 50m backstroke and Caoimhe taking 13th place also in the 50m backstroke.

Creevy National School was also represented in the girls relay competitions by Caoimhe McCauley, Katie McMullin, Hannah Gallagher and Ciara Caldwell and in the boy’s relay competitions by Eoin Summerville, Conor Foy, Darragh Summerville and James Gallagher. Both teams swam really well in very tough competitions.

All swimmers are members of Marlins Swimming Club, Ballyshannon and Creevy National School would like to thank the club for preparing the children for these competitions.
