Donegal senior footballers Eoghán ‘Ban’ Gallagher, Danny Rodgers and Stephen McBrearty (pictured right), are among those to receive sports scholarships at IT Sligo for 2016.
They were among 32 scholarships which were unveiled at a ceremony in in the college on Wednesday.
Darren Curran, Dungloe, was also awarded a GAA Scholarship while Christopher Flanagan from Letterkenny has been awarded a Soccer Scholarship to bring the number from Donegal to five.
Congratulating all the students on their success, the Registrar of IT Sligo, Colin McLean, said: “Each of our Sports Scholarship students has excelled in their chosen sports activity and in so doing they have enhanced IT Sligo’s reputation as an academic setting that values and rewards sporting prowess.”
IT Sligo allocates a €50,000 fund for the Sports Scholarships Scheme and all students are entitled to apply.
