The National AGM of the Community Games will take place in Waterford this weekend.
It is expected that outgoing President Gerry Davenport will be re-elected unopposed and Letterkenny woman Bernie Brennan will be re-elected to the post of National PR and Marketing.
The county delegates for the weekend are Bernie O'Callaghan, Tony McCarry and Catherine Boyce; the Ulster delegate is Marie Gibson. A number of observers will also attend.
A huge number of motions and recommendations will be debated on by the delegates with a number of changes expected in some of the events.
Donegal has 15 areas affiliated with the closing date for entry on 16th March. New areas may join for free this year and their children can choose from over 40 events.
The Development Committee is available to meet with any areas interested in joining. Please note that the Talent competition plus other event finals are due to take place shortly and only areas affiliated can take part.
The County Gymnastics finals will take place in the Letterkenny Centre on 5th June. The Basketball finals will be held in Ballyshannon on 23rd April. The Letterkenny area swimming finals will take place this Saturday in the Aura Leisure Centre. All available committee members should attend to help out.
