Like Leicester in the English Premiership, Drumoghill look like they will be crowned Donegal Premier League champions at The Moss on Friday evening, when they host Gweedore Celtic, needing just need a point to ensure the league title.

Drumoghill will be bridging a 21 year gap from their last and only Premier win in the 1994/95 season. They joined the Ulster Senior League after that win, coming back to the Donegal League in 2001.

The other games will become largely irrelevant if Drumoghill get the result on Friday evening.

The other games at the weekend are on Sunday. Kildrum Tigers host Castlefinn Celtic and could go ahead of Castlefinn in the standings with a win in this one.

Rathmullan Celtic entertain Glenea United at Flag Pole field, Rathmullan will want all three points to secure safety in the premier division.

Milford United take a visit to Emerald Park, Killybegs to play St Catherine’s, Milford and depending on the Friday result, it may be a game just secure second place.

Voodoo Venue Cup

Glencar Celtic take on Glenea United in the Voodoo Venue Cup final takes place in Diamond Park, Ballyare, on Saturday at 5p.m.
