Congratulations to Stephen Carr and the Donegal minors who beat Derry in the Ulster Minor final in Clones on Sunday. Hard luck to Frank McGlynn and the seniors who lost out in a very tight match against Tyrone.

Well done to the U12s who defeated Milford in the Northern Board B final on Monday evening in Glenfin. Well done also to the Glenfin U12 girls who won the blitz finals on Saturday the 16th of July in Glenfin. Hard luck to our U14 girls were beaten by Downings in Downings on Thursday evening,

Also hard Luck to the U16 Boys who lost to Convoy on Friday evening by two points.

Well done to our senior ladies who beat Ardara on Monday night in the senior championship. This was a very good team performance with the scores coming from eight different players. The seniors and reserves played Naomh Muire in the league on Saturday evening, unfortunately the reserves lost but the seniors put in a big performance to secure another two valuable points.

Commiserations to Marty and the senior Donegal following Sunday’s defeat to Tyrone. On a more positive note congratulations to Carl Dunnion and the Donegal minors on their Ulster Minor Championship final win over Derry.

The senior hurlers defeated Buncrana in the championship on Saturday evening in MacCumhaill Park.

There was no winner of this week's Lotto. The numbers drawn were 8, 20, 21 and 25. There were three match three winners. They were Francie Lynch, Corgary, Geraldine Martin, Clochan, Anita Foy c/o Villa Rose who all receive €50 each. This week’s jackpot is still a massive €10,000.


The seniors lost at home to Buncrana in a league game on Friday nigh.

The seniors and the reserves won away to Glenswilly on Friday night.

The U21s also played away to Glenswilly in the preliminary round of the Championship last Tuesday and won. .

The U12s played in the Regional final on Saturday in Rosses Park v Ballyshannon. This team have been exceptional all year but just fell short after playing the whole game with a man down. Massive work has been achieved with this young group of players from coaches Paddy McGowan and Hugh White.


The lotto numbers drawn last Wednesday were 2, 4,7,11,16, 17. We had no match six winners so jackpot rises to €3,050.

We had one match 5 winner, Sophia Kelly who won €100.

Congratulations to our club men Jason McGee and Michael Mulhern and the Donegal minor panel and management on their Ulster final victory over Derry.

Congratulations to Gaels clubman Joseph Patton who played at half-time during the Ulster Senior Hurling final between Derry and Armagh in Owenbeg the weekend before last.

Letterkenny Gaels will hold two remaining weeks of fun at Pairc na nGael, Letterkenny this summer with children getting the chance to play Football and Camogie.

From 25th to 29th of July we will be hosting the Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp which provides boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13 an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games. Congratulations to the U-12 hurlers who had a good victory against Gaoth Dobhair, at Pairc na nGael last Thursday evening.


Well done to Aaron McCrea and the county Minor team on their win Ulster final win against Derry.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €1,700, held in the Abbey Hotel on Monday the 18th of July. The €50 winners in the lucky dip were John Joe O’Shea, Ballydevitt, and Liam McCrea, Tullyearl. The numbers drawn were 3, 10, 20 and 24.


The launch of the Glenswilly Girls Academy takes place this Saturday

at 6.30pm at the pitch. The evening will begin with a talk to all

parents and girls. The academy is aimed at all girls from minor down.

After the talk, a short skills session will take place on the pitch so

all girls are asked to wear their gear and bring their boots.

Last week's lotto winner was Theresa Tyrell, from Letterkenny who

matched three numbers. The winning numbers were 4,8, 9 and 18.

Hard luck to Neil, Michael and the boys at Clones but well done to the

minors including Paddy McGinty who was part of their backroom team. The Glenswilly ladies team won their match convincingly at home on

Saturday evening against Killybegs.

Glenswilly hosted a blitz on Saturday. Our girls played well and did

their club proud, but St Nauls were the winners on the day.

Thanks to all who helped to make the blitz it a success, and to those who coached and helped the girls all year.

There was no winner of this week's Bunotto Jackpot. The winning numbers were 1 4 13 15 17. The 3 x €50 winners were Roisin Kelly White Maple, Bundoran , Michael Vallely, 148 Cladymilltown Road Clady, Co Armagh, Nathan Grimes, 10 Dervaghroy Drive, Beragh, Co Tyrone.

The U16s despite a brave performance were defeated by Naomh Muire in the league on Friday night this followed a good victory over Naomh Brid /Pettigo on Monday night.The minors had the disappointment of travelling all the way to Dungloe on Wednesday night only to find out that their fixture had been postponed.

Well done to the ladies of Realt Rua who overturned a four point deficit to record a superb victory over Gaoth Dobhair, in Gaoth Dobhair, Gweedore on Saturday evening.

A very well attended and enjoyable Cul Camp is taking place in Gaelic Park this week.


It was a great week for the club in many areas, but pride of place has to go to Nathan Boyle, Shane McGrath and Oisin Rooney, plus Mick McGrath in the back room team on claiming the Ulster minor title. Nathan Boyle started and grabbed a crucial goal, while Shane McGrath came on early in the second half and played a big part as Donegal earned a comfortable win.

Last Wednesday saw the Aodh Ruadh under 14s earned their place in the Southern Divisional final with a second leg victory over Saint Naul's in Father Tierney Park. The Divisional final took place on Monday evening in Tir Chonaill Park, but Ardara proved that bit stronger on the day and ran out 4-11 to 2-3 victors.

Aodh Ruadh under 12s played a big part in making it a weekend to remember for the club as they claimed the Southern Divisional title after a tightly fought game against Dungloe on their home turf. The under 12 panel who secured the honours were Aaron Cullen, Darragh Flood-Dolan, Pauric Daly, Shane Delahunty, Eoghan Kelly, Aaron Neilan, Ryan Keenaghan, Séimí Campbell, Jack Gallagher, Damian Weber, Ryan Daly, Cian McKenna, Troy Killilea, Oisín Daly, Gerry Warren, David Roper, JJ Doran, Aidan Sweeney, James Gallagher, Drew Ryan, Aonghus Sweeney, Kensie Lee Ayers, Lorc Mag Fhionnghaile, James McGinley, Cillian Meehan, Robbie Murphy, Fionn Gallagher, Shane McGloin, Jack Lyons, Michael Doogan, Oisín McGlinchey and Cian Hunter.

Realt Ruadh travelled to Gaoth Dobhair for the second leg of the intermediate championship going into the game with a four point deficit after last week's loss. The team which fielded in Gaoth Dobhair was as follows: Orlaith Gillespie; Lauren O'Moore, Sarah Gallagher, Shelly Loughlin; Hannah Doherty (0-1), Meave Liston (0-1), Roise Keon; Megan McGee, Sarah Patton (1-1); Danika Doherty, Tara Khan (2-2), Cáit Gillespie (2-1); Rachel McGee (0-1), Elaine Dorrian (1-2), Tanya O'Shea. Aodh Ruadh under 14 girls bowed out of the championship on Thursday evening after a valiant effort against a very strong St Eunan's side.inal score 3-3 to 0-0 and Aodh Ruadh county champions.

The under 10s had their first blitz of the season in Donegal town last Wednesday and gave a great account of themselves against a competitive Four Masters outfit. The panel who travelled to Tir Chonaill Park were Aimee Roper, Alicia McGowan, Ava Doherty, Ava Duncan, Cádhla Dolan, Cameron Gallagher, Ciara Larkin, Dairín Sweeney, Jessica O'Mahoney, Katelyn Matthews, Lauren Foy, Maura O'Sullivan, Micheala McGavigan, Nessa Mitchell, Orla Gallagher, Raegan Fitzpatrick, Rose Conlon, Sadhbh Hughes and Tara Gallagher.

The senior hurlers lost out to Setanta on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-18 on Saturday evening in Fr Tierney Park.

There is a big Aodh Ruadh representation in the Donegal U-21 C team that face Fermanagh, on Saturday, in the All-Ireland U-21 C hurling final, in Healy Park, Omagh. Kevin Loughlin is in the management team and Matt Ahern, Tommy Gillespie, Eddie Lynch, Stephen Connolly and Ciaran Rami all members of the panel.

The minor hurlers replay with Setanta took place on Thursday last in Fr Tierney Park and a much improved performance by Aodh Ruadh saw them run out convincing winners 2-13 to 0-2.

The under 12s continued their great start to the season with a hard fought win away to St Eunan's on Thursday.

On Saturday the club hosted the Peter O'Keefe under 16 Ulster / Connacht Tournament. Six counties took part with Donegal, Roscommon and Leitrim in Group A in Fr Tierney Park while in Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh we had Tyrone, Mayo and Sligo.

Donegal beat Roscommon and Leitrim in their group and qualified to play Tyrone in the final. Tyrone won the final. Aodh Ruadh were represented on the team by Eoin Doherty and he did very well in all the games.

There was no winner of last week's Aodh Ruadh Lotto jackpot of €5,400. The numbers drawn were 1, 7, 11, 14, 16 and 17.The lucky dip €20 went to Chris Kelly; the Patton Family; Una Bonner, Assaroe View; Majella Gethins, Finner; and Chrissie Roper, Ernedale Heights. Next draw is in McGinley's with a Jackpot of €5,500 on Sunday night.


The club extends deepest sympathy to the Harkin family, Ballymore, on the death of their mother Peggy last week.

Sympathy is also extended to the Gallagher family Main Street, Creeslough on the death of their mother Josephine, last week also.

Another successful Runegal which was run by St. Michael's GAA on Friday 15th July. In all 78 runners turned up on a miserable evening to compete in the 10k and the 5k - well done to all as it is a challenging (but rewarding) route. 1st home in the 10k was Sean Murphy (SM) and Claire Richardson (SW) 1st home in the 5k was Christopher McElhinney (SM) and Michelle Given (SW) and Barry McGuirk (JM) and Blaithnaid Gallagher (JW).

There was no jackpot winner in the mini lotto on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 3,5,11, 15, 19, and 20. The winner of the €100 was Eileen Ward Murroe. This weeks Jackpot be €2150.

They club launched their Grand prize draw last Wednesday night in the "Gweebarra Bar". The draw is to aid the development of our new football pitch and site at Madavagh, Lettermacaward. The seniors lost away to Carndonagh, in the league on Saturday evening. The seniors travelled to Carndonagh last Saturday evening in their latest round of league matches but lost out by the smallest of margins in what was a disappointing evening for the lads. The Under 12s had a terrific win against Naomh Columba last Wednesday evening in Dunkineely. They now play Naomh Ultan in the Division Two championship final.

Well done to Cillian Bonner who played in the half time game at the Ulster final last Sunday in Clones . A great experience for him.

Naomh Conaill camp will restart again on Monday 25th July. Naomh Conaill will be hosting a long summer camp through July and August. The summer camp is on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9.30am-2.30pm.

The club 200+ draw will be restarting back again on the first Tuesday at bingo. Naomh Conaill is having an open club meeting on Thursday 28th July at 8:30pm in the clubhouse. We are asking all club members to please attend this meeting.


Red Hugh's 5K run and walk is on Friday 22nd of July at 7:30pm.. This is a not the back of the wall route but the "faster glen route".

The Club Cul Camp will run from the 2nd to 6th of August. Book online on or Application forms are available from Maura McCrudden and can be picked up on Saturday mornings. You can also register on the first day of camp.

The Red Hugh’s, Strictly Come Dancing is now fixed for Friday the 21st of October. This should be a great evenings entertainment. Anyone interested in taking part contact Liam Doherty, Alice Doherty and Diane Gallagher.

St. Nauls Under 12 girls won the county Under 12 blitz in Glenswilly on Saturday beating Red Hughs and Glenswilly to win the D Section. Well done to Managers Alisha McBrearty and Ally McGready.

Once again well done to our senior ladies on a comprehensive win in the second leg of the championship. They defeated Naomh Conaill in the final.

Congratulations to Enda McCormick and Donegal minors on winning the Ulster minor final on Sunday. Twenty five years ago Termon was honoured when Kevin McGettigan and Oddie McBride lined out for Donegal in the 1991 Ulster minor final. And a quarter of a century on Kevin’s nephew Enda McCormick lined out at corner forward for Donegal. Donegal defeated Tyrone in the 19991 final.

Last week’s lotto draw took place in McClaffertys with 2, 11, 12 and 19 the numbers drawn. There was no jackpot winner, and the match 3 prize was shared by four. They were Eddie Russell, Lauren Russell, Pauric McCafferty and Noel Carr. The open draw winners were James Boyle and Manus and Dan O’Connell. Next week’s draw takes place in the Glenveagh Inn and the jackpot is €1,850.

The senior hurlers lost to Burt last weekend and they take on neighbours MacCumhaills in the Táin League this Saturday.Congratulations to Niall O’Donnell on his man of the match award in Sunday’s Ulster minor final. Well done also to Aaron Deeney, Oisin and Darragh Toal and to Noel Keaveny who is part of the management team on their win over Derry.

The U16 Boys recorded another win away to Gaoth Dobhair after a good second half performance followed a sluggish start.

The U14 Girls footballers defeated Aodh Ruadh BS last Thursday to advance to the County A final against Termon.

Online bookings for next week’s Football Cúl Camp will finish this Friday (22nd). Bookings after that date will need to be made to Paul McGovern on 086-811 4151. Football Camp runs Monday (25th) Friday (29th) 10am – 2:30pm daily. Online bookings can still be made for the Hurling and Camogie Camp that runs between August 8th and 12th.

The U12s finished off their league campaign with an impressive win over Gaoth Dobhair in Moyle Park.
