Naomh Columba pip Naomh Brid by one

Naomh Columba moved to the top of Group C in the Intermediate championship with a hard fought home win over Naomh Brid in Pairc Na nGael.

Brendan Doherty’s men had to do it the hard way as they came from two points down at half-time after Naomh Brid led 0-8 to 0-6 at the interval.

Ryan Gillespie was in good form and posted five points in a game that the winners had seven different scorers.

Darragh Brogan and Shane Walsh with four each shared the top scoring spot for Naomh Brid.

Naomh Columba are now on three points as they head to Hibernian Park, Burt, next weekend for round three.

Burt and Buncrana are on two points with Naomh Brid on one point, with just one round of games to be played.
