Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill has confirmed that Seamus Coleman is fit to play against Serbia on Monday night.
It's a major boost for the Republic of Ireland as they open their World Cup qualifying campaign.
O'Neill said both Coleman and John O’Shea are both fit and available for selection ahead of the qualifier in Belgrade.
The two defenders both trained on Saturday and their manager said they will train again in Sunday evening's session at the Red Star Stadium.
Coleman hasn't played for Everton yet this season. The Killybegs man injured an ankle in pre-season and also sat out Ireland's win over Oman during the week.
