Letterkenny Rovers get the better of Milford Utd.

Letterkenny Rovers join Fanad and Keadue at the head of affairs in the Donegal Youth League after a 7-1 win over an out-of-sorts Milford side on Saturday afternoon.

This match was settled in the space of nine first half minutes when Rovers netted three times.

They deservedly took the lead on 18 minutes when the excellent Cameron Gormley floated in a teasing cross which was met by Brian Diver at the far post and he scored with a close range header.

Codey Brogan fired past a stunned Odhran Crossan in the visitors goal to double the home side's advantage and it was 3-0 soon after when Cameron Gormley scored.

Milford had a great chance to get back into the game just before halftime when Niall Trearty played Darragh Greene through and he did well initially to round Eoghan Jordan but he screwed the ball wide of the target.

On 51 minutes Gormley did well to release Brogan and his effort took a wicked deflection off Ryan Flood to make it 4-0. To their credit Milford went up the field and got one back through a fine angled effort from Ryan Toye but Brogan completed his hattrick on 58 minutes and further late goals came from Shane Doherty and debutante Brandon Manues.
