Paddy McCourt is facing another spell on the sidelines following his latest injury set-back.
The midfielder was forced off on the half hour during Saturday night’s win at Cobh Ramblers after damaging his calf.
His manager, Ollie Horgan, said the extent of the injury still has to be confirmed, but the player could miss the next four matches, and possibly even more.
“He just felt the calf pop during the game,” Horgan said. “There was actually nobody near him when it happened. It was just one of those things.
“Yeh, we had a great result. But Paddy’s injury took the gloss off the victory.
“We’re not sure how bad it is. But we’ve got two games this week and two the following week as well, and I don’t see him playing in any of those matches.”
Harps play Wexford Youths at home on Friday night and then travel to play Drogheda United in their rescheduled fixture on Monday night.
On Friday week, Harps travel to play Athlone Town and it’s likely the Donegal club will play again the following Monday or Tuesday night in the EA Sports 2nd round.
