Referees Presentation Night
The presentation night for all adult and underage referees which was cancelled last week, will be held weather permitting in the Sean McCumhaills Centre, Ballybofey, on this coming Sunday 12th December starting at 8pm. The evening is also a celebration of 40 years since the formation of the referee's board in 1970. This will be an ideal opportunity to meet up with old friends from the past to reminisce about how things were and how they have changed. Over the past 40 years Referees from the county have taken charge of many high profile games around the country so hopefully some of them might share a tale or two with us. We invite all past and present referees to come along to enjoy an evening of entertainment and fun.
Club Tir Chonaill
Donegal Gaels from home and abroad are being asked to support an exciting initiative launched by the County Board. Club Tir Chonaill has been set up to raise much needed finances for the new GAA Centre of Excellence to be based in Convoy in the heart of the county. This facility will bring much needed benefits for all clubs and schools promoting our games throughout the county. We are asking you to invest in the future of our county so that everyone, of any age and every ability wishing to develop their skills in football, hurling, ladies football or handball will be able to do so in fantastic state of the art facilities here in our own county.
We ask all patrons of the GAA in Donegal to please consider supporting this vital initiative. Further details on how to join can be found on our website at www.donegalgaa.ie or by contacting the County Treasurer Grace Boyle on 086 8032954.
