Meg’s medal haul at Special Olympics event
Two Letterkenny gymnasts travelled to Belfast to compete in the Northern Region Special Olympics Gymnastics Competition in the Belvoir Activity Centre on Friday.

Two Letterkenny gymnasts travelled to Belfast to compete in the Northern Region Special Olympics Gymnastics Competition in the Belvoir Activity Centre on Friday.

Twelve-year-old Meg Carr from Hawthorn Heights competed in Level One and came first in the Floor Routine, the Beam Routine, the Bars and the Vault and also won the All Round Female category for her level.

Another Letterkenny man, Patrick Quinlivan from Long Lane, competed in Level Four and came first in the Men’s Floor Routine, the Pommell Horse, the Rings, the Parallel Bars, the High Bar and the Vault and also won the All Round Male category for his level.

Congratulations are extended to both gymnasts for all their hard work especially with the new routines.
