Staying on for another year - Donegal boss Declan Bonner

Declan Bonner has been ratified to stay on as Donegal senior team manager for at least another year.

Bonner presented his end of season report to Monday night's meeting of the Donegal County Committee.

It was a good year for Bonner and Donegal who celebrated promotion back to Division One of the Allianz National Football League before retaining their Ulster crown.

Bonner's term as manager could be extended to 2021.

He was appointed back in September 2017, initially for a three-year term.

"It is good to have Declan and the backroom team back on board," said county chairman Mick McGrath.

"We are happy with the work, standards and the results of Declan and all concerned, and are thrilled with retaining the Ulster title and getting back to Division 1.

"It was disappointing that we did not progress further in the Super 8s but we have loads of motivation to try and go a step further next year."
